The Side-Punched Wire Mesh Basket answers that by taking the walls and forming them from punched sheet, while the floor stays open mesh. The result is a basket whose sides hold their line when it is full, whose side openings are uniform and clean-edged rather than a shifting weave, and whose floor still lets water run straight out. Load small components, instruments, or fittings in at the start of the cycle, wash them in the basket, drain them through the mesh floor, and carry the same basket to the bench or the steriliser.
